At the end of April this year, I was lucky enough to spent 3 days in Hobart, Tasmania with 2 of my good friends. We were down there to do a little engagement shoot for my friends but the weather was not that great that weekend (rain and extremely glairy sunlight) so we decided to go with the flow and see where the places takes us.
I was really excited to go and explore the city. I heard so many good things about it. The food, the weather, the people and the city itself.
We arrived on Thursday afternoon and we basically just chill and walk around the city until about dinner time.
Next morning on Friday, we went up to the famous Mt. Wellington to see the city from above. The view was so beautiful, we had such a good time despite the crazy wind and the cold temperature.
After that we went back down to the city and went to The Botanical Gardens. We went to visit the Japanese Garden section and stayed there for a little while because it was so relaxing and was a good spot to keep dry from the rain.
On our last day, we planned to go to Salamanca Markets and MONA. But I woke up a little bit earlier and managed to watch the sunrise over the pier.
Salamanca Markets were so vibrant, busy and exciting. I bought some honey and gin as well as donuts. (Yum!)
MONA was great too, (we drove down should've ridden the ferry instead) I got a bit too carried away with the art installations and forgot to actually take some photos. But that trampoline tho...
Overall my trip was amazing, a bit short but it was nice. I cannot wait to go back and explore not only Hobart but the Launceston as well. Would love to go back to MONA again and stay a little longer. :)
Until next post.
